How Your Donation Helps
This season our team won the Nevada State Championship. This qualifies us for the International Competition in Houston Texas. In order for us to compete, we estimate we need $35,500 for Hotel rooms, Flights, transportation, Registration fees, and food for over 16 people.
Donations are the primary method for team fundraising. The success of our team has been driven solely by volunteers, families, and our wonderful community.
The outreach activities our team performs as part of our program gives back to the community and help your donation go even further.

We are the VC Silver Circuits, a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team made up of middle and high school students from Virginia City, NV. We won the Nevada State Inspire Award for the third year in a row! We have the honor of representing Nevada in the World Robotic Championship in Houston, Texas, April 15-21, 2024. This competition is exactly what it says: We compete not only against other teams from the United States but also from many other countries!
FIRST Robotics teaches us through STEM, and we have learned more about the process of designing, building, printing 3D parts, programming, driving, problem-solving, and being “graciously professional” with other teams. We also reach out to the community by working with other groups like the Nevada Food Bank in their CANstruction event, mentoring other teams in our area as well as other states and countries by ZOOM, reaching out to public schools for mentoring or getting young people excited to learn more in the STEM fields by demonstrating how important STEM is to our future. We have also presented our robot for businesses to demonstrate and explain how we came up with our design and build. Through our demonstrations, we were able to collaborate and learn from professionals to make our robot even better.
We are trying to get sponsors or donations to help with our costs for Worlds. We have twelve team members, two coaches, three mentors, and chaperones, and we need to raise $37,500 of funds to cover our competition registration fees, shirts, airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and food. Our motivated and inspiring team needs your help to reach this goal. Any donation helps get us closer to Houston! We are a 501(c)(3) public charity, tax-exempt, so donations are tax deductible! Our tax ID is 84-3493472. Please visit our website at VCSilverCircuits.com if you would like to become a sponsor, or you can donate via GoFundMe, PayPal, or Venmo. We also accept checks payable to: VC Silver Circuits, P.O. Box 46, Virginia City, NV 89440. Remember, ANYTHING helps!
We want to thank you for considering a sponsorship or donation to help us take advantage of this opportunity to grow educationally, individually, and as a team.
If you have questions, please visit our website, vcsilvercircuits.com, and fill out the form. Someone will get back to you soon!
